Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal

There were twenty-one designated Asiatic-Pacific Theater campaigns during World War II. Individuals are entitled to wear one bronze star for each campaign they participated in. A bronze arrowhead is worn on the ribbon to indicate participation in an amphibious assault landing within the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

 

The 12th Cavalry Regiment participated in four Asiatic-Pacific campaigns.

New Guinea                         January 23, 1943 to December 31, 1944
 

Bismarck Archipelago               December 15, 1943 to November 27, 1944

Leyte                                        October 17, 1944 to July 1, 1945
(with arrowhead)

 

Luzon                                    December 15, 1944 to July 4, 1945
